- 2 pounds chicken thighs
- 1 cup bourbon
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 4 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic.
- Marinate the chicken thighs in the mixture for at least 1 hour.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the marinated chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side until cooked through.
- Remove the chicken and let it rest before slicing.
- In the same skillet, add sesame oil and cooked rice, stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the sliced chicken and chopped green onions, stir to combine.
- Serve topped with sesame seeds.
Notes
- For added spice, feel free to add red pepper flakes to the chicken marinade.
- This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables.
