Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 4 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic.
  2. Marinate the chicken thighs in the mixture for at least 1 hour.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the marinated chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken and let it rest before slicing.
  5. In the same skillet, add sesame oil and cooked rice, stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add the sliced chicken and chopped green onions, stir to combine.
  7. Serve topped with sesame seeds.

Notes

  • For added spice, feel free to add red pepper flakes to the chicken marinade.
