- 1 package frozen puff pastry
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into rectangles suitable for sliders.
- Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture on half of the pastry rectangles.
- Top with sliced strawberries.
- Cover with remaining pastry rectangles and press edges to seal.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle sugar over.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add lemon zest to the cream cheese mixture.
- These sliders are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for a couple of days.
