- 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package puff pastry sheets
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix the chopped strawberries, cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares.
- Place a spoonful of the strawberry mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of lemon zest to the filling.
- These turnovers can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
