- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
- Pour half of the cake batter into a greased baking dish.
- Spread the sliced strawberries over the batter, followed by dollops of cream cheese mixed with powdered sugar.
- Pour the remaining cake batter over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- If desired, top with chopped nuts before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider adding chocolate chips to the cake batter.
