- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 cup sliced strawberries
- 1 package cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, eggs, sour cream, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- Pour half of the cake batter into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter.
- Add the sliced strawberries on top, then pour the remaining batter and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the cake is cooling, beat together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese icing over the cooled cake before serving.
Notes
- For enhanced flavor, let the cake cool completely before adding the icing.
- Serve with fresh strawberries for an extra touch.
