- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, sour cream, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in the chopped strawberries gently into the cake batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the icing by mixing powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth.
- Once baked, allow the cake to cool slightly before drizzling the icing over the top.
- Let the icing set before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use full-fat sour cream.
- Garnish with additional fresh strawberries if desired.
