- 1 cup strawberries, chopped
- 1 cup cherries, pitted and chopped
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package pie crusts
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add chopped strawberries and cherries to the mixture, and combine well.
- Roll out the pie crusts and cut them into circles.
- Place a spoonful of the fruit and cream cheese mixture on half of each circle.
- Fold the dough over to create a pocket and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the top with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon to the filling.
- Serve with whipped cream for an extra treat.
