Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
- Gradually add the flour mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
