- 1 pound ground turkey
- 8 slices turkey bacon
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, cooked turkey bacon (chopped), breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine pineapple chunks and barbecue sauce. Heat over medium heat.
- Once meatballs are cooked, add them to the saucepan and toss to coat with the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes to heat through.
- Serve warm, garnished with extra pineapple if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add some chili flakes to the barbecue sauce.
- These meatballs can be served as an appetizer or over rice for a main dish.
