  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, cook the elbow macaroni according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the sauce.
  6. Stir in cheddar and mozzarella cheese until melted.
  7. Add cooked macaroni and turkey bacon to the cheese sauce, mixing well.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle breadcrumbs on top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
