  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 2 cups egg noodles (uncooked)

  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Boil egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Drain fat.
  4. Add tomato sauce, paste, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese and sour cream.
  6. Layer half the noodles in dish, followed by half the creamy mix, then half the meat sauce. Repeat layers.
  7. Top with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
