- 1 loaf French bread
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 cup tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the French bread in half lengthwise.
- In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, minced garlic, basil, diced tomatoes, salt, and black pepper.
- Spread the mixture evenly over the bread halves.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top.
- Place the bread halves on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of parmesan cheese before baking.
