Ingredients

- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine milk, heavy cream, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
- Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour into a square dish and let cool.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

- For added flavor, try infusing the milk with cinnamon or nutmeg before cooking.
