Vegetable Dumplings: Irresistibly Delicious Potstickers at Home

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour and water to form a dough. Knead until smooth.
  2. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, combine cabbage, carrots, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut into circles.
  5. Place filling in the center of each circle, and fold to seal.
  6. Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little oil.
  7. Place dumplings in the pan and cook until golden brown on one side.
  8. Add water to the pan, cover, and steam for 5-7 minutes.
  9. Remove the lid and cook until water evaporates and dumplings are crispy.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add chili flakes to the filling.
  • Serve with soy sauce or dipping sauce of choice.
