Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, mashed bananas, milk, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Frost the cooled cake with the whipped cream mixture and top with sliced bananas.
