Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 9 lasagna noodles (uncooked)
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, eggs, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a layer of marinara sauce in a baking dish. Place three lasagna noodles on top.
  5. Add half of the ricotta mixture, followed by a layer of ground beef, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
  6. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles and marinara sauce on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  8. Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add chopped vegetables to the beef mixture.
  • Letting the lasagna sit will help it hold together when slicing.
