- 2 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 cup garlic cloves
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Season the beef with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, brown the beef on all sides.
- Layer onions and garlic in a casserole dish, place the beef on top, and pour in the broth.
- Add thyme and cover the dish.
- Bake for 3-4 hours or until the beef is tender.
- Serve hot with your choice of sides.
Notes
- You can add other herbs such as rosemary or bay leaves for additional flavor.
- For a richer taste, use homemade beef broth.
