- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until tender.
- Stir in the rice, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and then remove from heat.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add your favorite vegetables for extra flavor.
- For a creamier casserole, add a splash of milk to the mixture.
