- 6 cups diced day-old bread
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract

- 1/2 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the diced bread to the mixture and fold until the bread is well coated.
- If using, fold in raisins or chocolate chips.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until set and golden brown on top.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
