- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup blueberries
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the milk mixture, melted butter, and egg. Knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Prepare the cream cheese filling by mixing softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface, spread cream cheese filling, and sprinkle blueberries on top.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute raspberries for blueberries if desired.
- For a more decadent treat, drizzle with lemon glaze.
