- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1 cup powdered sugar for icing
- 2 tbsp milk for icing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the brown sugar and butter.
- Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough and cut into desired shapes.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before icing.
- To make the icing, mix powdered sugar with milk to desired consistency and drizzle over cookies.
Notes
- Make sure to chill the dough for 30 minutes for easier handling.
- Store leftover cookies in an airtight container.
