- 1 pound ground turkey
- 6 slices turkey bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 4 slices of bread
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop into small pieces.
- In the same skillet, add the ground turkey and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the barbecue sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and chopped turkey bacon to the skillet. Stir to combine and heat through.
- On a baking sheet, place the slices of bread and drizzle with olive oil.
- Spoon the turkey mixture onto each slice of bread, then top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
