- 1 loaf bread
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup bell peppers, diced
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- ½ cup onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add onions, garlic, and bell peppers to the skillet; cook until softened.
- Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; mix well.
- Remove from heat and mix in cheddar cheese.
- Cut the top off the bread loaf and hollow out the inside.
- Fill the bread with the beef and cheese mixture.
- Place the filled bread on a baking sheet and cover with foil.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the bread is golden brown.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add chopped jalapeños to the filling.
- Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
