- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla, beating until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- In another bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
- Drop cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet and create a small indentation in the center of each cookie.
- Fill the indentation with the cream cheese mixture.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar on top before baking.
- Cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to one week.
