- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, and basil to the skillet, stirring well.
- Layer the bottom of a baking dish with marinara sauce.
- Place a layer of lasagna noodles, followed by a layer of the beef mixture, ricotta cheese, and mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese on top.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, replace ground beef with lentils.
- Letting the lasagna sit before cutting helps it hold its shape.
