Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into oval patties.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add beef broth and ketchup to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  4. Return patties to the skillet and cover. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry, then stir into the skillet to thicken the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with your choice of sides.
