- 1 jar dill pickles
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- salt to taste
- oil for frying
Instructions
- Drain the pickles and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt.
- Dip each pickle slice into the buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture to coat.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the coated pickles in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

- For extra crunch, double-dip the pickles in buttermilk and flour mixture.
- Consider adding freshly cracked black pepper for added flavor.
