Ingredients

- 1 package egg roll wrappers
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 pound ground pork
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine cabbage, carrots, ground pork, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
- Lay out one egg roll wrapper with a corner facing you. Place a small amount of filling in the center.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly.
- Seal the top corner with water.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C) and fry egg rolls until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes
- Serve with sweet and sour sauce or soy sauce for dipping.
- For a vegetarian version, replace the pork with tofu or mushrooms.
