Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Slice onions into rings and soak them in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Dip each onion ring in the flour mixture, then in the egg, and back into the flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
