Ingredients

- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded cabbage or carrot (optional)
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 10–12 spring roll wrappers or puff pastry sheets
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine shrimp, cabbage/carrot, garlic, ginger, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Place 1 tbsp of filling near one edge of the wrapper. Fold in the sides and roll tightly. Seal with water.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry rolls in small batches until golden brown and crispy (3–4 minutes).
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot with dipping sauces.
Notes
- Use raw shrimp for best texture.
- Air fryer alternative: 375°F for 10 minutes.
- Freeze before frying for easy prep later.
