  • Total Time: 8 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup French onion soup
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Swiss cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, French onion soup, breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup Swiss cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it into a lightly greased crockpot.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
  4. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the remaining Swiss cheese on top of the meatloaf. Cover and let cheese melt.
  5. Once done, carefully remove the meatloaf from the crockpot and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding sautéed onions to the meat mixture.
  • Serve with a side of mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
