- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup French onion soup
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Swiss cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, French onion soup, breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup Swiss cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it into a lightly greased crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
- In the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the remaining Swiss cheese on top of the meatloaf. Cover and let cheese melt.
- Once done, carefully remove the meatloaf from the crockpot and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding sautéed onions to the meat mixture.
- Serve with a side of mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
