Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced carrots to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes.
- Pour in the maple syrup, salt, and pepper. Stir to coat the carrots evenly.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the carrots are tender.
- Remove the lid and increase the heat to medium-high. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to thicken the glaze, stirring constantly.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- For added flavor, you can sprinkle some chopped fresh thyme before serving.
- If you prefer a thicker glaze, allow it to cook a bit longer after removing the lid.
