- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup ketchup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, bell pepper, Worcestershire sauce, eggs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Form a loaf shape and place it in a baking dish.
- Make a well in the center and fill it with provolone cheese.
- Top the meatloaf with ketchup.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the meat is cooked through.
Notes
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- For added flavor, consider adding sautéed mushrooms to the filling.
