- 2 steaks filet mignon
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 shallot, diced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Season the filet mignon with salt and pepper, then sear each side for 4-5 minutes for medium-rare.
- Remove the steaks from the pan and set aside.
- Add shallots and garlic to the pan, sauté until fragrant.
- Add mushrooms and cook until soft.
- Pour in the heavy cream and simmer until it thickens.
- Return the steak to the pan, coating with sauce. Serve hot.
