  • 1 pound beef roast
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the sliced turkey bacon until crispy and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add olive oil and cook the onion until translucent.
  3. Season the beef roast with garlic powder and black pepper, then sear on all sides.
  4. Add the seared beef roast and cooked onions to the beef broth in a slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  5. Once cooked, remove the beef and shred it.
  6. Assemble the sandwiches by piling shredded beef, bacon, and Swiss cheese into the hoagie rolls.
  7. Serve with a side of beef broth for dipping.
