- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
- Drop batter by the tablespoon into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
- Remove beignets and drain on paper towels.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to make a glaze, then drizzle over warm beignets.
