- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup white wine or vinegar
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add butter and mix until crumbly.
- Stir in the wine or vinegar until the dough comes together. Knead until smooth.
- Wrap the dough in plastic and let it rest for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough thinly and cut into circles.
- Fry the dough circles in hot oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- In a separate bowl, mix ricotta, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Fill cooled shells with the ricotta mixture.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- For a more intense flavor, add orange zest to the filling.
- Serve immediately after filling for the best texture.
