- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a saucepan, combine water and butter, and bring to a boil.
- Stir in the flour until the mixture forms a ball.
- Remove from heat and let it cool for 5 minutes.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Drop the dough by tablespoonfuls onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- For the filling, whip the cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Cut the puffs in half and fill with the whipped cream mixture.
Notes
- For best results, do not open the oven door while baking.
- These can be made a day in advance and filled before serving.
