- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, heat the milk and butter until the butter is melted.
- In a bowl, combine the sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the melted milk and butter mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and beat until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of almond extract.
- This cake pairs well with fresh fruit or whipped cream.
