- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 bag frozen tater tots
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup black olives, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning and water to the beef according to package instructions; simmer for about 5 minutes.
- In a large baking dish, layer half of the tater tots, followed by the beef mixture, salsa, and half of the cheddar cheese.
- Top with remaining tater tots and cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until tater tots are golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly; top with sour cream, green onions, and black olives before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture.
- Feel free to customize toppings based on personal preference.
