Ingredients

- 1 pound chicken breast, sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix sliced chicken with soy sauce and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- Coat marinated chicken with cornstarch.
- In a pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown.
- Remove chicken and add onions, garlic, and ginger to the pan. Sauté until fragrant.
- Add brown sugar, water, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and black pepper. Stir well.
- Return chicken to the pan and mix until coated in the sauce.
- Garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes
- For extra spice, add red pepper flakes.
- Serve with steamed rice or noodles.
