- 2 cups chocolate cookies, crushed
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine crushed chocolate cookies with melted butter and press into the bottom of a cake pan.
- In a saucepan, heat heavy cream and sugar over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
- Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the cookie crust and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Once set, garnish with chocolate shavings before serving.
Notes
- For a more intense chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet.
- You can add layers of berries for added freshness.
