- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup cooked fish, flaked
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the butter and mix until the mixture resembles crumbs.
- Gradually add water, kneading until you form a dough.
- Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
- In a pan, sauté the onion and bell pepper until soft.
- Add the flaked fish, paprika, and pepper; mix well and remove from heat.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the dough and cut into squares.
- Place a spoonful of the fish mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold the dough over and seal the edges.
- Brush with beaten egg and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the filling with your favorite spices or vegetables.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
