- 1 1/2 cups sugar

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Stir in the shredded coconut, chopped pecans, flour, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased pie crust.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the pie is set and lightly browned on top.
- Allow to cool before serving.
