- 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.
- In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and melted butter until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and top with the peach mixture.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
- Can be made with canned peaches if fresh are not available.
