- 1 loaf brioche bread
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Cut the brioche bread into thick slices and place them in a greased baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread slices, ensuring they are well soaked.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Remove the plastic wrap and sprinkle brown sugar over the top of the soaked bread.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
- For an extra touch, you can use a kitchen torch to caramelize the brown sugar on top just before serving.
