- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup fresh peaches, diced
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add the melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and yeast mixture to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut it into circles.
- Place a spoonful of diced peaches in the center of each circle and fold the edges over to form a cruffin.
- Place the cruffins in a greased muffin tin and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let them cool before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter taste, add more sugar to the filling if desired.
- Use puff pastry for a quicker alternative.
