Ingredients

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Stuff each okra slice with pepper jack cheese.
  3. Dip the stuffed okra in flour, then in egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry the okra in hot oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve hot.
