Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit until frothy.
- Add salt and flour, mixing until dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Divide dough into small pieces, shape into pretzel bites.
- Boil water and baking soda mixture. Add pretzel bites for 30 seconds.
- Remove pretzels, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle salt.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly, then serve with cream cheese and pepper jelly.
