  • ½ cup pepper jelly
  • 1 tablespoon salt for topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit until frothy.
  2. Add salt and flour, mixing until dough forms. Knead for 5 minutes.
  3. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  5. Divide dough into small pieces, shape into pretzel bites.
  6. Boil water and baking soda mixture. Add pretzel bites for 30 seconds.
  7. Remove pretzels, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle salt.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
