- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and instant yeast together.
- Add the water, rosemary, and garlic, and stir until well combined.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rest at room temperature for 12 to 18 hours.
- After the resting period, preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and place a Dutch oven inside to heat up.
- On a floured surface, shape the dough into a ball and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
- Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven and place the dough inside. Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
- This bread is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in a breadbox for up to 3 days.
- For a variation, try adding different herbs or cheeses.
